The Knife is one of the two melee secondary weapons. Its attack speed is faster than the Hammer, but it deals less damage per hit.
The Knife can be thrown as a projectile and will one-hit kill enemies other than Bouncers and bosses.
Once thrown, the Knife can't be picked back up unless it hit nothing or dead bodies.
The Knife can be found in levels inside a kitchen knife block, which can hold up to 4 Knives.
